A fitness habit tracker with rhythm
Last updated: 2026-05-09 Effective: 2026-05-09
1 Introduction
Rytmo (com.neywablake.rytmo) is a personal fitness habit tracker developed by an independent developer based in the Czech Republic and published under the Studio Neywa name. The app helps you log activities, build routines, track streaks, earn badges, and level up over time through a gamification system. Rytmo is designed to work entirely offline: it has no backend server, no user accounts, no cloud sync, and no telemetry. All data you create in the app stays on your device.
The short version: Rytmo collects nothing over the network and shares nothing with the developer or any third party. Every piece of data you enter lives only on your device and is fully under your control.
2 Information the App Stores Locally
All of the following data is stored exclusively in a local SQLite database on your device. None of it is transmitted anywhere.
Activity sessions — when you log a workout, the app records the activity type, duration, optional notes you choose to add, an optional mood rating, timestamps, and the XP awarded for that session.
Routines and weekly plan — routine names, the list of exercises in each routine, and their durations; which routines are assigned to which weekdays in your weekly plan, along with any scheduled reminder times you set.
Custom activity types — names and icons for any custom activity types you create beyond the built-in ones.
Gamification progress — your current XP total, level, rank, earned badges, and streak data.
Settings — your weekly fitness goal, notification reminder time, and streak-freeze preference.
Avatar photo — if you optionally pick a photo from your device’s photo library to use as your in-app avatar, it is cropped on-device and saved as a JPEG inside the app’s private documents directory. It is never uploaded or shared.
3 How This Information Is Used
The data described above is used solely to provide the app’s functionality on your device: displaying your history, calculating XP and level progress, tracking streaks, scheduling local reminder notifications, and rendering your avatar. The developer does not process this data in any way, because the developer never receives it.
4 Data Sharing
No personal data is shared with, sold to, or transmitted to the developer or to any third party. Rytmo makes no network requests related to your personal data.
One narrow exception is worth noting: the app uses the open-source google_fonts Flutter package for typography (DM Sans and DM Mono). On first launch, if the required font files are not already cached on your device, the package may fetch them from Google’s font servers. This request contains no personal data — only your IP address and a standard HTTP User-Agent header, which any web request sends by default. Google’s handling of those incidental requests is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. No other network request is made by the app or any of its bundled libraries.
What we do not collect
- Name or email address
- Location data
- Device or advertising IDs
- Usage analytics
- Crash reports
- Contacts or microphone
- Payment information
- Any cloud-synced data
5 Android Permissions
Rytmo requests the following Android permissions. Each is used solely for the stated purpose and is never used to collect personal data.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS · SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM · USE_EXACT_ALARM · RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED
Required to schedule and deliver local reminder notifications at the times you set in the app, and to re-register those alarms after your device restarts. Notifications are generated and delivered entirely on-device; nothing is sent to a server.
VIBRATE
Used for haptic feedback during active sessions and when notifications are delivered.
READ_MEDIA_IMAGES (Android 13+) · READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (Android 12 and below)
Requested only when you voluntarily choose to pick a photo from your photo library for your in-app avatar. The selected image is cropped and saved locally; it is never read at any other time and is never uploaded.
6 Data Storage and Security
All app data is stored in a local SQLite database and in the app’s private documents directory on your device. The security of this data depends on your device’s own security features — screen lock, device encryption, and keeping your Android OS up to date. Because the developer holds no copy of your data, a breach on the developer’s side is not possible.
7 Data Retention and Deletion
Your data persists on your device until you remove it. To delete all app data, clear the app’s storage in Android system settings (Settings → Apps → Rytmo → Storage → Clear data) or uninstall the app. The developer holds no copy and cannot delete or recover data on your behalf.
8 Children’s Privacy
Rytmo is not directed at children under the age of 13. The app does not knowingly collect any personal data from children. Because the app collects no data over the network at all, there is no risk of inadvertent collection from minors.
9 Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
