1 Introduction

Voiclee is a voice-first reminder app developed by an independent developer. This Privacy Policy explains what data the App collects, why it collects it, and how it is handled.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. The short version: we do not collect or store any personal data on our end. By using the App you agree to the practices described below.

2 What Data We Collect

Microphone & Voice Input

The App requests microphone access (RECORD_AUDIO) so you can create reminders by speaking. This is the core functionality of the app.

Voice input is processed entirely on your device using the operating system’s built-in speech recognition. No audio is ever sent to our servers or any third party.

  • The microphone is only active when you are actively recording — it is never used in the background.
  • No audio is captured without your explicit action.

Voice Notes

The App allows you to attach a voice note recording to an existing reminder. When you do:

  • The audio file is saved locally on your device only.
  • It is never transmitted to any server or shared with any third party.
  • Deleting the reminder also permanently deletes the attached voice note.

You can revoke microphone permission at any time in your device settings. Without it, voice input and voice notes will be unavailable, but you can still manage reminders manually.

What We Do NOT Collect

  • Name or email address
  • Location data
  • Device or advertising IDs
  • Usage analytics
  • Crash reports
  • Contacts or camera

3 Third-Party Services

Voiclee does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. No data is shared with any external service.

Speech recognition is handled entirely by the operating system’s built-in APIs (Android SpeechRecognizer / iOS Speech framework) and is subject to the platform’s own privacy policy:

4 Data Storage & Retention

We do not operate any servers or databases. All app data — reminders, voice notes, and settings — is stored locally on your device only. This data is not accessible to us and is never transmitted anywhere.

Uninstalling the App permanently removes all locally stored data, including any voice note recordings.

5 Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Union). We do not knowingly collect any personal data from children. Since the App collects no data on our end, there is no risk of inadvertent collection from minors.

6 Your Rights

Since we do not collect or store personal data on our end, there is no data held by us to access, correct, or delete. All data remains on your device and is fully under your control. You can delete individual reminders and their voice notes from within the App, or remove all data by uninstalling it.

7 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
