Switcheroo — Privacy policy

A cosmic color puzzle game

Last updated: 2026-04-16 Effective: 2026-04-01

1 Introduction

Switcheroo is a cosmic color-sequence puzzle game developed by Neywa Blake, an independent developer. This Privacy Policy explains what data the App collects, how it is stored, and which third-party services are involved.

The short version: Switcheroo does not collect personal data. All game progress and settings live on your device. The only network activity the App initiates is for in-app purchases via RevenueCat and loading fonts from Google Fonts. No accounts, no tracking, no analytics. By using the App you agree to the practices described below.

2 Data Stored on Your Device

All App data is stored locally on your device using the operating system’s standard storage (SharedPreferences on Android, NSUserDefaults on iOS). None of this data is ever transmitted to our servers or shared with third parties.

Game Progress

  • Level completion status, star ratings, and best scores per level
  • Current level and cumulative score
  • Unlocked achievement IDs

Settings & Preferences

  • Sound, music, and haptic feedback toggles
  • Language preference
  • Onboarding completion flag
  • Player display name (optional — defaults to “Cosmic Explorer” if not set; never transmitted)

All locally stored data can be permanently deleted at any time from the Settings → Danger Zone → Reset Progress screen, or by uninstalling the App.

3 Third-Party Services

The App uses two third-party services that involve limited network communication. No personal data is shared with either.

RevenueCat

The App’s one-time full-game unlock is processed through RevenueCat. When you make or restore a purchase, RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and a purchase receipt from Google Play or the App Store to verify and manage your entitlement. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email address, or any other personal information.

  • Payment processing is handled entirely by Google Play or the App Store — we never see or store your payment details.
  • Purchase history and entitlements can be managed directly through your Google Play account or Apple ID.
  • RevenueCat Privacy Policy

Google Fonts

The App loads display fonts dynamically at runtime from Google Fonts. This request is made automatically when the App starts and may expose your device’s IP address to Google’s servers as part of the standard HTTP request. No other data is transmitted.

4 User-Initiated Network Activity

Beyond the services described above, the App may initiate network activity at your explicit request:

  • In-app purchases — tapping the unlock button opens the platform’s native purchase flow (Google Play or App Store).
  • Sharing game stats — tapping Share opens your device’s native OS share sheet. The App passes a plain text string to the share sheet; no data is collected or transmitted by the App itself.
  • External links — tapping links to the privacy policy page, the community Discord, the email client, or the store rating page opens your device’s browser, mail app, or app store. These are standard OS-level handoffs; the App does not track whether or how you use them.

5 What We Do NOT Collect

  • Name or email address
  • Location data
  • Advertising IDs
  • Usage analytics or telemetry
  • Crash reports
  • Camera or microphone data
  • Contacts or calendar data
  • Device identifiers
  • Behavioral tracking
  • Ad SDK data

The App contains no advertising SDKs, no analytics SDKs, and no crash-reporting services.

6 Permissions

The App requests only the following device permissions:

  • Internet access — required for RevenueCat purchase verification and Google Fonts loading.
  • Billing — required by Google Play to enable in-app purchases.

The App does not request access to your location, camera, microphone, contacts, storage, or any other sensitive device capability.

7 Children’s Privacy

The App does not require an account, does not collect personal information, and does not contain advertising. It is suitable for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect any personal data from children under 13. No personal information is required to download or play the game.

If you believe a child has somehow provided personal information through the App, please contact us at the address below.

8 Data Deletion

Since all game data is stored locally on your device, you are in full control of its removal:

  • Reset progress — use Settings → Danger Zone → Reset Progress to permanently erase all level progress, scores, stars, and achievements from your device.
  • Full removal — uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data.
  • Purchase history — purchase records and entitlement status are managed by RevenueCat and your platform account (Google Play or Apple ID). Contact RevenueCat or your platform provider to exercise data rights related to purchase records.

9 Your Rights

Because we do not collect or store personal data on our servers, there is no data held by us to access, correct, or delete on your behalf. For data processed by RevenueCat or Google, you may exercise your rights directly with those providers via their respective privacy controls and policies linked in Section 3.

10 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
